General
If you play board games or RPGs regularly, chances are you’re spending a lot of time at your table. It makes sense to have a table that is optimized for comfort and quality of life. Whether you’re breaking out the latest board game or your trusty D&D Player’s Handbook, your table should be able to accommodate all your gaming equipment, food and drinks, and the people that surround it. You invest so much in your games already. We believe the space you play in is just as important.
Our gaming tables are designed to comfortably support board games, card games, RPGs, puzzles, and war games. We have carefully designed the depth of our game vault, playing surface and accessory system to be friendly for a wide variety of entertainment experiences.
Our Foundation Table is designed to integrate with any setting or style, providing clean lines, rounded edges, and a profile that stands out without taking over the whole room. It isn’t trying to be Shaker, Mid Century Modern, Rustic Farmhouse, Japandi, or Danish Modern. It’s quietly cool, and effortlessly timeless. And it looks great whether you choose a solid wood finish or one of our select painted base styles.
We agonized over the proportions of this table, dialing in every feature for maximum comfort and efficiency. It needed a gaming surface that was neither too deep, nor too shallow. The height needed to be at a comfortable level for both dining and gaming. The armrests needed to be wide enough to support your wrists, but not so wide that you couldn’t reach your stuff. You get the point. It’s exceptional because each element of its design is dialed in.
After many years of designing custom furniture, and simultaneously growing in his love for board games and D&D, owner, Cameron Lockey, decided to combine his two passions to create a line of furniture designed by gamers for gamers. We believe that community is built around sharing experiences together, not doomscrolling. We wanted to create something that encourages people to invest in their community.
ORDERS & SHIPPING
Every Loreforged table is handmade and made-to-order. For tables with standard configurations, we estimate a production timeline of 8-12 weeks until your table ships. Custom shop tables can require up to 18 weeks, depending on the complexity of the customizations.
The Foundation Table is designed for flatpack assembly, meaning your table is carefully wrapped, packed, and shipped to you in a small stack of boxes. This means we’re able to save you thousands in high-volume freight costs. Assembly will require a handheld drill, Phillips head screw driver, plus a few other things we’ll provide. Instructions will be available as a PDF and walkthrough video.
While all table sales are final, we are committed to guaranteeing the quality of our products. If you experience any defect in the hardware we provide or the craftsmanship of your table’s components, we will do whatever is necessary to make it right.

We forge the table. You forge the Lore. Every Loreforged table is hand-made by experienced craftsman in the USA. Materials are sourced in the US whenever possible, including all hardwoods. Our gaming surfaces are made from durable 3/4” thick plywood which provides a stable, firm playing surface. Other brands use 1/4” or 1/2” plywood, which are prone to sagging over time. Each component is machined, fitted, tested, and assembled in our shop in Durham, NC, to ensure your table is up to our rigorous quality standards.
We recommend using only a warm, damp cloth to clean your table top.
Standard options allow you to choose your desired wood species or one of our select painted base styles and the color of your neoprene game mat. However, our custom shop offers a wide variety of additional customizations such as length, width, custom paint colors, custom game mat material/color, and even wood or epoxy inlays. If you have other ideas or even would wish to commission a completely custom table design, just ask! We love a creative challenge. You can submit your inquiry on our custom shop page.
